This project aims contributing to resolve the warpage problem that affects the moulding of small parts either in manufacturing macro or micro components. The focus of industrial research is on modifying the thermal conductivity of the insert material replacing it by a new composite material with exceptional thermal characteristics – graphene. The effectiveness of the heat flow system can be increased using a new cooling system design according to the constructal theory, where the shape and structure adopted are based on the fluid flow in nature. Since the number of inserts is not significant and their external and internal (cooling system) geometric configurations can have high degree of complexity, only using additive manufacturing processes, in particular selective laser melting (SLM), it is possible to manufacture them. It should be noted that the project will allow the production rate of parts to be increased in a very significant way.
